Reading and phonics
Across the education system there are many different schemes for takeing and teaching phonics, all first schools may take on a different scheme.
It is central to start memorizeing at an early age.
For the youngest children, well forward the age of five, sharing and enjoying favourite books regularly with trusted adults, be they parents, carers, practitioners or teachers, is at the heart of this activity. Parents and carers should be strongly promote in these pursuits and reassured that, in doing so they are bestow to childrens literacy and to their education in general

Children start with basics like holding a book, looking at lyric poem and pictures, turning pages, they soon realise that what they are being read makes sense.
According to Anne Brown the start of breeding is established in the midst of the ages of 4 and 8, but the process begins before this and continues afterwards

Children are candid to print all around them so it is easier to start with what they already know e.g. food labels, DVD boxes etc. It needs to be made enjoyable and not seen as a chore.

The teaching of phonics is not new, it started in the 1800s, in America. A series of books called McGaffy Readers were popular at this time. ( Snowling and Hulme, 2007) These books did the same as the books we use today, by reviewing sounds already learnt.
We have to think of ourselves ( T.As) as role models when developing an interest in books and reading for children within our schools.
Research was done by Jim move on behalf of The subdivision for Education and Skills ( DfES, 2006). His report gave guidance on teaching reading in England. As a result of this study the DfES asked Jim Rose to :
