In many countries and societies, having a television was a symbol of status.
Slowly the people in the pastime industry started to wake up to the fact that television could be used to deliver entertainment to the people all oer the world, which conduct to varied types of shows being created to cater to the needs of different age groups. In the beginning, they dedicated shows for food enthusiasts, the shows for children in the level of cartoons, and so on. As the reach of the television increased, the price of the television decreased, making it much more accessible to the millions of people non just in America, but in the whole world.
