In 1830 there lived five cultivate tribes in the Southeastern part of our get together States; they were the Choctaw, Chickasaw, Creek, Seminole, and the Cherokee. The drop they lived on was not only their land it was the land of their ancestors. They had lived in placidity on this land for cosmosy years, until the arrival of the white man. These conflicting men and women came in and settled on their lands, eventually deciding to remove the Native Americans all together.
In 1829 a man by the name of Andrew Jackson was elected President of the United States based on his campaign promise that he would headway the Indian Removal Act. Many of the tribes had been having problems with some of the settlers, and Jackson had promised them that pitiful the tribes west of the Mississippi River would not only solve the settlers problems, exactly would also be a good thing for the Indians because they would be free to live the way they wanted. The Bill passed the Senate and the House, and was signed into police on June 30, 1830.

Section 3 stated that any land traded with the Indians would be forever guaranteed to them and their heirs, and that a patent or grant would be made to visualise that the Indians would keep the land, providing always that if the Indians died out or abandoned the land that it would become property of the United States once again. Section 4 talks about payment for any improvements done to the lands.
